Pool Measuring

Accurate pool measurements are an essential part of the cover manufacturing process. A pool cover that is made to accurate pool measurements will last longer and look better. The TRIANGULATION method is by far the most accurate and is also quick and easy.

Pool Sketch

Follow these steps:
1. Using chalk or wax, mark two points A and B to one side of the pool, approximately six feet from the edge and at opposite ends of the pool, at least 20’ apart.
If the A and B are too close, it becomes difficult to accurately reproduce the measurements on paper.
Measure the distance between A and B, and record this on the survey form.
2. Using chalk, mark a number of points around the perimeter of the pool edge, numbering them as you go. The joints between the coping stones are usually a good point to use.
3. When all the points are marked, measure the distance to each from point A, recording them on the sheet as you go (A1, A2, A3 etc.). At this point it is essential that the end of the tape at point A is kept in place and does not move. Also keep the tape taught, any dips will give a false reading.
4. Repeat above, measuring from point B.
5. Finally, if there are any obstructions that need to be taken into account, such as non removable steps or diving boards, then these should be recorded under the Ladder/Obstructions part of the form, again measuring from A and B.

debris cover repairs
All covers will eventually need to be replaced, but sometimes it may be worth repairing it first. Aquamat are happy to inspect any covers in their factory and then provide a report on the work required. Due to the individual nature of any work that is required, it is not practical to list prices for repair work, each cover needs to be inspected at our factory.

To obtain a repair quote, please follow these guidelines:
  1. Return the cover to Aquamat as soon as it is removed from the pool in the Spring.
  2. Clearly label the cover and the outer packaging.
  3. Remove anchors before sending the cover, otherwise additional damage can be caused during transportation.
  4. If possible include a note that indicates the work required that you are aware of.
  5. Be aware that Aquamat will not guarantee to undertake any repair work during the months of September, October and November.
  6. A trade charge of £20 will be made to cover our expenses, only if the quote is not accepted.
