The TOPAZ reel system is available with either key or remote operated switch. A control panel with a 24v D.C. output, housed within the plant room, powers the Topaz reel system. A wire is needed between the control panel and one of the stainless steel powder coated end stands. The Topaz can handle slatted covers up to 20ft x 40ft (6m x 12m).
Not suitable for Solar slatted covers.

IMPORTANT For all tubular motor real systems the following points must be allowed for when ordering.

1. The base of the reel system must sit flat on the coping stones to prevent the reel being at an angle. If necessary, this means that the area of coping stones that the reel sits on must be levelled off before siting the reel.

2. The slats will normally be sized to fit the whole pool width, not the width between the bull nose of the coping stones. This means that an area of the coping stones needs to be removed to allow the slats access to the water surface as it unwinds.

3. Solar slats can only be used on the Marble reel. Tthe optional UV protector must be used to prevent damage to the slats when rolled up. All electrical connections should be completed by an electrician, and should include an RCD trip.

4. If the skimmers are positioned on the long side of the pool, either an allowance needs to be made on the width of the cover at time of manufacture, or a plate needs to be fixed around the face of the skimmer to deflect the cover as it is unrolled. Otherwise damage, including breaking off of the end cap is likely to occur.

5. All electrical connections should be completed by an electrician, and should include an RCD trip.

IMPORTANT: Roman Ends and end steps for Topaz rollers.
If a slatted cover is to be fitted to a Topaz roller and it has a leading edge roman end or step cut out, it is necessary to fit antislip to the under side of the leading slats.

Prism 24 reel (ideal for outdoor pools). The Prism 24 reel is a 24v D.C. battery operated reel system: The batteries are housed in the end stand and are charged by two daylight sensitive solar cells which are mounted on the side of one of the end stands. The Prism 24 can handle slatted covers up to a 20ft x 40ft pool + 5ft roman end (6m x 12m + 1.5m roman end).

ELECTROLYTE 24 reel (ideal retro fit for indoor pools). This reel is battery powered with 2 x 12v batteries (24v D.C.). The batteries are housed in one of the end stands. The system also comes with a portable transfer pack that is kept permanently on charge in the plant room. Due to the built in smart charger the batteries cannot become damaged or over charged. After several uses you will notice that the roller will start to slow down, signaling time to recharge the unit from the transfer pack. You simply take the transfer power pack from the plant room and plug it into the end stand and leave it overnight and the transfer of power to rejuvenate the end stand battery is automatic. Batteries are perfectly safe in wet environments or even underwater. The Electrolyte 24 can handle a slatted cover up to 40ft x 20ft pool + 5ft roman end (6m x 12m x 1.5m roman end).
